Meet ALEX CARTER

 
Alex is a highly experienced movement and wellbeing specialist whose unique breadth of expertise sets her apart in the wellness industry.
 
In an age of micro-specialisation in fly-by-night trends, Alex brings together over 30 years of study across multiple disciplines, combining the wisdom of traditional movement arts with modern understanding of health, performance and wellbeing, displaying real depth of knowledge in all these areas.
 
A 5th Dan Karate Black Belt, multiple English Champion, qualified personal trainer, yoga instructor and specialist in Qigong and breathwork, she has travelled extensively throughout Japan, China and Taiwan, studying directly with the most respected masters and immersing herself in the traditions from which these practices originated.
 
Alongside her ongoing Karate training within the Kofukan lineage, Alex has also studied Okinawan Kobudo to 4th Dan level, and White Crane Kung Fu under Europe’s leading exponent to give her a uniquely comprehensive understanding of movement, posture, breathing, body mechanics and human performance.
 
Most importantly, she has spent over 25 years translating this knowledge into practical, accessible teaching that delivers real-world results, always tempered by her study of evidence-based physical and mental health outcomes,  and imparted with joy 😊
